Next month will see the magnificent opening ceremony of Formula 1’s inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, which will feature stars from the music industry.

On Wednesday, November 15, performances by Andra Day, Bishop Briggs, J Balvin, Journey, Keith Urban, Steve Aoki, Swedish House Mafia, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and will.i.am are scheduled.

Together with an anticipated 30,000 spectators, all 20 drivers will be present at the event as Formula 1 looks to create a significant impression going forward of the city’s nighttime race.

It was crucial for us to design an opening ceremony for the inaugural Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix that strikes a balance between the essence of Las Vegas and the global excitement that Formula 1 and these incredible drivers bring to each host city,” Renee Wilm, chief executive officer of the Las Vegas Grand Prix

“We are honored to be able to collaborate with the top producers of entertainment to provide one of the most varied lineups of well-known musical superstars, which will officially launch the race week festivities.”

The event will begin with an immersive display honoring Formula One’s debut in Las Vegas, then each artist will perform a piece honoring the history of entertainment in the city, and it will end with the introduction of the drivers and teams.

The ceremony will take place on what will be the starting grid for the race, with the renowned Las Vegas Strip serving as the backdrop. In addition to musical performances, there will be visits by Cirque du Soleil and the Blue Man Group.

A drone show, fireworks, and a cutting-edge lighting extravaganza with 1,000 lights and 100 lasers will all enhance the performance.

Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority, said, “As the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World, it is only fitting that we kick began the first-ever Las Vegas Grand Prix with a fantastic lineup of internationally recognized musicians and athletes.”
